What is a Poll Watcher?

A poll watcher is a person appointed to observe the conduct of an election on behalf of:

  1. a candidate
  2. a political party, or
  3. the proponents or opponents of a measure (specific-purpose political action committees)

NOTE: In order to service as a poll watcher, you must show up with a completed certificate of appointment AND the certificate of completion for the Texas Secretary of State poll watcher training.
